MORE ABOUT BREATHING

Specifically about exhaling....
It is logical to think to expand our lungs and gain some increased breathing capacity, we should take in more oxygen. Well, yes, kind of...
Actually, first we have to make room, by intentional exhaling. Training ourselves to inhale through our noses at a slower rate then exhaling through the nose or mouth longer than we inhaled. We have to take in less O2 to allow the increased CO2 to gather up all the garbage like bacteria and fats and forcefully exhale it out! If it is a common practice after surgeries to have people use these spirometers to clear their lungs, then wouldn't it be logical to make an intentional practice of daily spending 15 minutes inhaling to a 6 count slowly then exhaling for triple that time? Clean out the residue and make getting O2 easier to fill the lungs, instead of just forcing more O2 into an area that forces it to lock up!
Let's give it a try several times a day for a couple weeks...actually training our breathing! I have, and am nose breathing more smoothly, have increased O2 ability and additional note...my variable heart rate at night has increased from the upper 30's to the mid 50's!
